We tried the regular pads and the smell isn't totally absorbed. The Carbon Pads really work.

Great product the pads are nice and thick the only downfall is the sticky stuff sticks to my hardwood floor sometimes and I have to peel It off.

These work great! We have a jumping puppy and these are placed right at the gate. Since she jumps so much, thru tend to get little pricks, or wholes, in them and then urine leaks through. But, if she didn't jump so much it wouldn't be an issue.
