The polymer keeps the liquid spots contained to a small area, unlike the typical pad without polymer letting the fluid rush across the entire surface. Perfect idea As puppies are mine tend to slide all over their puppy pads However, the stickiness on the bottom of these are perfect, and it doesn’t leave residue on my floor
