As irritating as it is to invest in equipment to handle things that should be caught if they actually inspect the glass, this is by far the best investment I’ve made to handle these scratches. I’ve used Cerium Oxide and bought systems from GT Tools, Innovative Polishing systems, and now Glasweld. Our location is based in Southern California, where we often deal with moisture on windshields from morning dew or car washes. Incredibly efficient tool to cool down the glass surface to a repairable temperature. I like to make sure to warm up the tool with my hand before placing on the damage area to avoid thermal shock to the glass.

This update was long overdue, but GlasWeld nailed it. The new moisture evaporator is lightweight, handheld, and battery-powered, no more wires or plugging into the car. It shows battery percentage, has low/high heat settings, and is much easier to use in the field. A huge upgrade for windshield repair techs. A must have tool for your repair kit. -TJ
