The course was fantastic, it was in great condition and the greens are impeccable. Not over challenging but still challenging enough and the layout is great. The staff were fantastic and really helpful and friendly, the club house is fine, a bit dated but fine but the views from the verandah were exceptional.

Just played in the Mixed Open yesterday on the Lansdown course and I could wax lyrical all day, but simply put, golf just does not get any better than this. My credentials, played for 60 years, lowest handicap was 2, now 8, played all Open venues apart from Royal St. George’s (too far). The course is just superb, lovely club house, a great welcome from the staff, and the food is exactly what you w...

This golf course like many others in the area is vastly overpriced, and clubhouse and staff bordering on pure snobbery. The club now seems to cater mainly for well off visitors. IF YOU ARE NOT ACTUALY PLAYING THE COURSE THERE IS NO CATERING OR SERVICE. MEMBERS AND PLAYING VISITORS ONLY.

From the moment I drove, for the first time in August 2023, across the bridge I knew I was into something special. Single track road to the course across the whole island was worth the visit alone. Tralee may have the most breath-taking coastline in Ireland which results in a backdrop to the golf course that is extraordinary. Teeing off the first you are already anticipating getting to the second hole to absorb the coastline. The first is a nice opener but no-one really gives it much thought, “let’s get to the coast as soon as possible”. What awaits at the second hole is one of the best an...

My second visit after the first some years ago I was keen to return, and again had a thoroughly adventurous and enjoyable game. The course is not too penal but makes demands on your game especially around the greens. This region has some really great courses and the people are extremely friendly even to Australians. Brora is a must play in your lifetime of golf.
