The horse who is supposed to be on it, won't eat it, so it's hard for me to review the AminoTrace+. My other mare is eating it though, so one of them is getting its' benefit. I wish it tasted better so all horses would eat it. I have read many reviews that say their horses won't eat it. I would like to get my feed from Madbarn because I know they offer great products and they have awesdome customer service!! I have been working with one of their nutritionists and she has answered every single one of my emailed questions...and believe me, there have been many!! Thank you for still putting the customer first! That is a rareity these days! I appreciate that very much, coming from a career in customer service myself.

Optimun Digestive Health has helped my boy, but he still has liquid before and after defecating.

I have been using Spirulina for about 2 months now and it seems to be helping my mare breathe better. I give it 4 stars because I don’t like the packaging, it is difficult to get zip up it takes me multiple tries.

I tried my gelding on Chastberry as he was showing signs of Cushings and has a high likelihood of having it and wanted to see if it would help prolong or prevent needing to start him on Pracsend. Unfortunately I could not get him to eat it unless it was hidden in molasses which is too high in sugar to be a long term solution. I also have a mare that has very hard and frequent heat cycles so I gave it a shot on her. I wasn’t sure if had helped much until the bag ran out and I stopped giving it to her. It became very obvious quickly how much it has actually helped and subdued her hormones. The mare could not walk by a gelding without stopping and was anxious and pacing while in heat. I immediately ordered another bag and she is much happier and less hormonal and anxious again.

I had to find a pelleted supplement for my 18 year old 16.3 Percheron/TB mare when I moved to a new barn as she stopped eating her powdered supplements. While she does not currently have metabolic issues she is a draft cross and has a tendency to gain weight. Amino Trace+ took the place of three supplements I was feeding for hooves, extra amino acids, and a daily vitamin/mineral blend. She is very picky and I started slowly titration her up to the full dose for her size. She eats most of it mixed with teff pellets but usually leaves some in her feed bucket. I might reduce the amount of Amino Trace+ and increase the teff to see if she cleans her plate. Overall, I've been happy with how she's doing on it and wish it were more palatable.

The product arrived promptly but i did not care for the box design. Horse would not eat the W-3 mixed in with carrier. On to the next thing to try.

Shipping was quick, nice packaging and the product appeared fresh. I ordered this because I had read if your horse has scratches you need to feed this. Unfortunately it did not seem to make a difference so after 20+ days took her to vet clinic. Maybe had to use longer, but needed to get under control so ended up doing vet protocol which did resolve the problem.

My mini mare has been on Chasteberry for a few weeks now. She is moving better and seems overall more comfortable. Two winters ago she developed winter laminitis. The effects have carried through the entire year with stiffness and her feet have been difficult to manage. Her diet is managed closely, she lives on a bare track with good quality hay, AminoTrace+, W-3 oil and now Chasteberry. I also have her on a two week trim cycle to manage her feet which are improving daily.
