I’m incredibly disappointed in Visceral+ for the prevention of ulcers. My horse has been on Visceral for 8 months, and was scoped this week. He had grade 2 ulcers in the squamous region and grade 3 in the glandular region. I understand ulcer prevention goes beyond a supplement, such as proper turnout, access to forage, etc. . My horse shows so he does have a certain amount of stress he undergoes but every other horse in the barn with the same management techniques (and not on Visceral) had grade 1 ulcers or lower. Additionally upon further review of the clinical study by both myself and my vet we learned there was no control group for this study.
