I started using omneity pellets in the spring of last year to help my then 16 year old quarter horse have all the vitamins and nutrients he needed that our pasture was missing. His top line improved and his hooves grew quickly. I ride him 3-5 days a week and show him as well. Last summer was particularly dry and he developed a cough for the first time ever! He had a lower airway infection. After treatment from the vet I started looking for supplements to prevent this from happening again. I started using W-3 oil last summer to increase his vitamin E intake to boost his immune system and I noticed an improvement in his coat and energy level. He also loves the taste. I also ordered spirulina for respiratory support and have fed it all spring and summer this year and I'm happy to report...

Feeding the recommended amts made the horses coat very oily, even at 100ml daily. Reduced oil to 50ml daily. I did however see an improvement in skin condition and the hair at the base of the tail. The bag is much to fragile.

I started using Spirulina sometime in June 2024 because it was recommended to me by a friend who's mare suffers from sweet itch, like mine does. I have tried all sorts of remedies, including natural ones but always landed up giving her two steroid shots in the summer (which only last for a short while). We are now mid August and I have not given her the second shot. To say that I am impressed, is putting it mildly. I am hoping if I start it earlier next year, I will eliminate the steroids altogether. Now I do need to mention my mare suffers from sweet itch around her neck and shoulder areas on the mild side. Also, I live in the great, hot/muggy state of Texas where summers are very long. I followed the instructions to add a little at a time. She did not eat it the first time, bu...

My Mare came to us with a 3 month old foal on her side. Her utter never seemed full and she was very difficult to help gain weight. During her next pregnancy I consulted with the vets at Mad Barn to see if there was something we could give her to improve her milk production. They recommended the Optimum in the last trimester of the pregnancy. We did and the results were amazing, beautiful full utter(like night and day) and one happy colt.

I would give the Spirulina 5 stars, except my horses dislike it and I have to mix it in a mash...even then, my two chow hounds will not always finish it. Maybe another delivery model like pelletizing it would work better as it is somewhat of a mess to handle the fine powder.

I originally started chasteberry because my mare has symptoms of Cushing's, despite testing negative. Her thyroid was also huge. After being on the chasteberry for a couple months some of her fat pads have gone away or gotten smaller and I can barely feel her thyroid anymore. She seems happier overall as well
