I am assuming this is regarding the test that I sent in 2021 and asked about feeding a weanling colt. I was informed that he simply would not do well on only that hay ( 10% protein) and oats and the Madbarn Zinc/copper supplement. It turned out that he ate over 20 lbs of hay daily last year and he did nothing but get taller and fatter. I do not want to sound like an expert on feeding, but we had basically zero options for hay last year, and I was very happy with how he did on that particular feed. If I hadn't been feeding horses of all ages for many years I would have felt pretty dismal after getting that recommendatiodvise from MadBarn. As it was I just carried on with what I had to work with and the colt did awesome. Thank you!

The information was interesting. But I couldn't get the product they recommended because it's mixed with oats, which I'm very allergic to (and since the horse is PPID, he doesn't get any grain anyway). I have taken extra iron out of his diet and added zinc and copper. Thanks!
