This past summer I was treating my mare's respiratory allergies with antihistamine. In addition, we stripped her stall of shavings, soaked her hay and seemed to have things under control. With our rainy winters there are lots of allergens in the environment. That coupled with the re-introduction of shavings to her stall, the nasal discharge resumed. I was sceptical about using Spirulina. However in discussion with my vet who endorsed its use and from my previous experience with other Mad Barn products , I thought it was worth trying. My mare has been on Spirulina for approximately three weeks and there is no sign of nasal discharge or respiratory problems. I have a very sensitive gelding, that often gets allergies and in some extreme cases causes small hives. He also has a sensitive gut so we don’t like to put him on DEX unless it’s very necessary. Then I discovered Spirulina. Spirulina has changed my horses life, hives all gone, and much more content in his own skin. My now 20 year old warmblood mare was diagnosed with COPD 3 years ago. Until this year I was spending a fortune and trying everything I could find to get her cough under control. We tried steroids, bronchildilators, inhalers and I even bought a nebulizer. I can't even think about how much money I've spent on this disease(I love her and she is one of the family so I'm not complaining!). I was coming to terms with the thought that she would have to be retired and become a pasture pet....until I read the Dr. Kellon article on the Madbarn website. I decided to give Spirulina and Jiaogulan a go. I'm so happy that I did. This year we have not used the drugs or nebulizer once and have lost no riding days due to coughing! My old man (27 years old) is on W-3. He's doing great. He was on Camelina oil and my daughter told me that W-3 was better so I switched over a year ago and I haven't regretted it. He looks healthy and happy. He's also on Optimum digestive health, chaster berry, biotin and MSM. And soon to be on Omneity. It's been a struggle to keep the diarrhea at bay in the winter. I researched spirulina to help one of my horses that has serious respiratory issues. Ive combined this with the jiaogulan herb and have been very happy with the results. You have to introduce it slowly and build up and I wet my horses food and he eats it right up now. No more dex shots, no more heavy breathing! I am thrilled with the results! I can ride him and he can breath again! Mad Barn ships fast. Great customer service. And i am happy with the quality of their products!

We started feeding Omneity to our horse who was fairly picky about it at first, but soon opened up to it. Her hooves were cracked and brittle, and her coat was not the healthiest. Overall after less than a month of feeding the supplement we noticed a huge improvement. Her hoof cracks are almost all healed and have become healthy and less dry. Her coat has improved to the point where I've had people ask if she was just bathed, it's so shiny even after she has been out in the dirt and dust all day. She is an appaloosa QH and after being on Omneity she has started to develop roan colouring and spots compared to when she was just bay colouring before. We can't recommend this product enough, it is amazing. Thank you Mad Barn
