Spirulina is a supplement that I consistently use in my horses diet. My horses are healthy, shiny and strong with the help of the Mad Barn line of products.

I started using spirulina on the advice of my vet for my 30 year old mares debilitating fly bite allergy. We've been able to reduce her antihistamine use to 1/4 of what we were doing, and she has had NO hair loss this year! I'm thrilled and will continue to use this product for her.

So for me unfortunately I didn’t see a difference in my horse, but I don’t have anything bad to say either, it was really easy to order, came quickly, my horse didn’t object to it, he wasn’t sure about the fact his food was a bright blue green the first day, but after that never blinked at it. The bag lasted a little more than a month, which I appreciated as I feel that is a long enough time to gage if it’s going to be a good fit or repeat purchase.

I have been feeding Spirulina to my horse for a few years now. It really helped with is sensitivity to bug bites. MadBarn has a great price on a good quality product.
