This stuff is a mess! I’m new to Mad Barn’s products and customer service has been stellar but this stuff is so messy. You have to reach your hand in so far to scoop it out. I usually make baggies on my kitchen counter and green powder was literally everywhere. It’s also just too much powder. I have a pony with metabolic issues so I mix her supplements in with a small amount of Stabul 1. I do pre-mixed baggies for my barn so I can’t mix it with water or oil or anything else to make it stick or more palatable. This won’t work for us.

Since their labeling change they also removed ingredients off the nutritional value table: It’s missing Crude protein Lysine Methionine Threonine Calcium Yeast bacteria With not knowing how much key essential ingredients I am providing my horse, I am forced to switch brands. Unfortunately this is a red flag 🚩 for consumers. It happens all the time. A key ingredient that may be costly is naked off the nutrition panel so they can reduce the amount greatly to save money as a company. To make matters worse, you’re not getting what they’re advertising. Returning the product, it wouldn’t have been nice to know they changed product quality.

I really wanted to love this product. I was thinking I was going to have to make my own horse vitamin/mineral mix and then I found Mad Barn. The guaranteed analysis and ingredient list looked great. It covered multiple supplements I was using in one product--both time and cost effective. There are two problems: 1) The guaranteed analysis on the bag doesn't match what is on the website. It lists fluorine at 100 mg per daily dose. I don't want to give my horse fluorine. I don't see it added in the ingredient list, so maybe this is a mistake. But it doesn't inspire confidence. 2) One horse won't eat it and the other two don't seem to like it either. Previously they were gobbling up their supplements which I mix with alfalfa pellets, freshly ground flax, coconut and flax oil. I started at 1/3 ...

Horses would not eat. Happily went back to Uckele Zinc powder, & increased their dosage. Amazing results & they have no problem eating it. I did ask for refund from Madbarn, noting their Satisfaction Guarantee, but that was refused.

I've had my stressy OTTB on this for 4 months now at the recommendation of a friend. It might work for horses who have pretty mild symptoms and aren't picky but it took two weeks to get my picky eater to eat this product which I was willing to look past in hopes that it would help him out. He went off feed in late January again and presented with sensitive sides. He's larger at 1437lbs so I opted to do a scoop and a half or 120g of this which makes feeding it $3.65 a day. I started the standard omeprazole treatment again alongside this product, I was at my wit's end after a year of on again off again treatments and reoccurring ulcers even after six months of tre...

This product has a lot of great ingredients. But none of my horses will eat it after a couple of weeks of trying. I would recommend asking for a sample before purchasing.

While I love the concept of this product and the ingredients, my lamanitic horse will not eat it on its own, mixed with hay pellets or even mixed with unsweetened apple sauce. If you have a picky eater and can't feed a ton of sweet feed to really mask it, I'm not sure how you can get them to eat this.

It has been 3 weeks and still has not received my order. Unreliable and prolonged delivery times make me hesitant to continue purchasing from MadBarn. My initial purchase from MadBarn was delayed as well.

I am sure, based on the product ingredient listing that it is quite good. However, my horse totally rejected it even when only adding 8-15 pellets to his twice ration of Timothy Balance cubes, min/vits, etc over a 2 week period. MadBarn came good for the product anyway. I therefore passed the remaining MagneChrome to a neighboring friend who also uses MadBarn products, and since the product had recently been recommended to her for her IR horse. No luck there either. After several days of trying low dosages, her horse still refused it. It's good to see the reviews and that it does work for some. It seems a waste to throw out a 5 kg container of the product, so I'm passin...

My horse won’t touch it. I tried mixing molasses into it and disguising it by mixing it into other things that he likes but one sniff and he won’t go near it.
