I ordered Milk thistle for a horse with liver issues. I emailed asking for more information regarding feeding it to my horse. I was pleasantly surprised when one of the PhD’s followed up with more information. It was a personal email and not just a generic response. I have recommended madbarn to many of my fellow horsemen.

Started using it right away so have only been using it for about 3 weeks on my 24 year old Arab gelding. I have noticed his black coat is more shiny. My gelding had no problem with the taste as I mixed it with his senior feed and he licks his feed dish clean smacking his lips, but then again he eats most anything that's put in his feed dish! I purchased it to help with joint issues and so far haven't noticed any changes yet can't be too judgemental after only 3 weeks. The enviro pak wasn't the most user friendly and I ended up pouring it into a plastic gallon water jug instead, but I appreciate the company trying to use environmental friendly packaging. Very pleased there is a company in Canada and the free shipping is a huge bonus; only wish I had heard about Mad Barn before.

I started feeding Mad Barn vitamin E and W-3 Oil for my 17 year old stallion last year and it made a real different in Breeding season. This last year I bought a foal over the internet with great breeding for working cow horse was super excited to go out to Alberta and pick him up at 6 months old only to get there and see he was in horrible shape. We put him in the trailer and headed home to BC. The foal was so weak he curled up in the deep sawdust in the trailer and sleep the 8 hours home. I called my vet right away and he came out and did bloodwork. His Blood-work came back that he was anemic, he was also infested with worms. We started him on VitB 12 shots, safeguard wormer 5 days in a row and added W-3 Oil and Vit E from Mad Barn to his grain and here he is in the pictures the day I go...

I am on my second batch of it and my mare loves it. She shedded out into her summer coat a lot nicer this year and had beautiful dapples right off the bat. I used to feed other oils but breaking down the cost per serving this product is actually much more affordable for long term use. As always the shipping was super quick and easy.

As far as I can tell, it's working! It's at a great price point, too.

Scott was very helpful in answering questions and doing an analysis for my horse. I love the quality ingredients and the fact that there is no added sugar or iron. My horse is borderline IR and is doing great on this supplement. I am surprised by the palatability complaints in other reviews. My horse eats it up with no issues whatsoever. I mix it with a cup of timothy/alfalfa pellets, not to disguise the taste, just for extra food/calories. She loves it!

It's hard to find quality probiotics for horses that don't have a lot of other fillers in them and require a huge pail. Mad Barn's Optimum Probiotic is a rare gem. In fact, when the box arrived (2 days later!), I first thought there was a mistake because the package was so small. Nope! It's just so concentrated that it only requires a very small amount. I bought it to help with a detox for one of my mares and ended up putting the whole herd on it (and our donkey friend). They're all thriving - despite the cold temps and deep snow right now, they're all back to running, rearing, and playing joyfully. Thanks Mad Barn!

Found this product very helpful for my Cushings gelding in conjunction with pergolide. As an aside I tried it on a retired mare we have here that suffers from Hyoercementosis & has lost several of her incisors. She seemed really interested in the geldings feed, so I tried her with one scoop per day. Within a couple of weeks I saw a marked improvement in her gums & she hasn’t had any more trouble with her incisors. She is now able to eat from a slow-feeder haynet without difficulty, previously her incisors would cause her discomfort. She has been on chasteberry for 8 months with no further trouble with her teeth. This is a huge relief as the vet’s prognosis was that she would need all of her incisors removed, which was not something the owner or myself were comfortable with. Not sur...

I love this product!! I switched my horse to this two months ago and I'm already seeing positive changes. I also feel a lot less anxious about trying to work out what "holes" I need to fill in her diet while feeding this, as there ARE no holes! No extra supplements needed! Amino Trace , on its own, has better levels of biotin, copper, zinc, magnesium, etc., than I would find in any supplements I might have needed to add to other commercial feeds, and I love that it doesn't have a bunch of sugary filler. My mare ate it immediately, right out of my hand, and was mooching for more from me. So no palatability issues there at all. She isn't ECIR, but between her being older, and us being in a high iron area, it seems like the best nutritional fit. I also provide loose salt and a plain white sa...
