Great service. As a new horse owner I was getting a lot of advice on what to feed and not to feed! . I appreciated Mad Barns honest advice. While I know they are a business trying to make a sale, I felt that their recommendations were based on research and what was best for the specific needs of my mare.

In addition to submitting my horses diet to Mad Barn, my vet drew blood and sent to the Lab at WCVM. They were both spot on and indicated that the Zinc/copper could be reduced. The nutritionist also indicated that our hay was high in ash. We always check for sugar but that was the first time, ash was pointed out.

Hello with the taste I never got my 5 horses up to the amount specified only 1/2 to 3/4 of the scoop supplied as they didn’t care for the taste. I still have them on it for now. It’s taking longer as they are still needing trace mineral. My 27 year old does like the 3 aminos and I have one of my mares on your probiotic which she doesn’t seem to mine. I have used your mega 3 oil which again the taste they just couldn’t get past. I have used Kentucky Kerr omega oil and they loved the taste just putting that out there. Thanks. Hopefully you can address the flavour of these products. Thanks

My gelding foundered quite suddenly at 5 years old, and the prognosis was quite poor. I was told by multiple vets and farriers that I would never ride him again. After many consultations, no answers, and minimal if any improvement in my horses condition, I turned to researching on my own and decided to overhaul his diet. It was relatively clean before (decent quality hay, loose salt, and no grains/hard feed as he was out of work), but it was the one answer that just kept coming up. We later found he was IR, and standard hay and most feeds have too much sugar for him and will trigger laminitis, and, if left unchecked, founder. Wonderful to get feedback from people who have no vested interest in what you're feeding. I stayed with the grain I am using but added Omneity pellets and eliminated extra Vit E and hoof supplement. My horse looks the same but has a lot more energy and focus.

I have not had a consultation before so I have not g to compare this too but your nutritionist was VERY patient and very responsive to all of my questions and I had a lot of them! Thank you for providing this service, I learned a lot!
