Our 14-year-old Welsh pony is IR, with a history of laminitis. In fact, she came through a big livestock auction, where many equines are discarded, after a career as an Amish cart pony, and it's likely her laminitis was a factor in her winding up there. She was also (unexpectedly!) pregnant with a mule and became very cresty-necked as her delivery approached.
