I ordered Mad Barn’s chasteberry for my pony with PPID, who’s ACTH levels remains stable on his regular prascend dose. My reason for supplementing with chasteberry this year (as well as his regular prascend dose) was to see if it would help in his spring shedding. Last Spring, despite having been on prascend since the previous early Fall, with a six month post ACTH level check (stable), it took him until June to completely shed out. His ACTH retest in September showed his levels remaining stable . This February I added chasteberry to his diet as well, and by early March he started shedding at the same pace as his equine companion without PPID.

I put my horse on visceral when he had a couple impaction colick episodes within a few weeks of owning him. I purchased online and kept him on for about 3 months. Mad barn reached out by email and asked how it was going. I said great and that I was planning to keep him on the product as he was doing so well. They responded and said I didn't have to keep him on that expensive product if he'd started showing signs of improvement and suggested I switch to this product. I was shocked as it's a cheaper sale for them but I appreciate the honesty so much and switched him about a year ago. He's been great since the switch. I ran out of the product and he was off it for about a week and the difference in lack of gas and stool passing was significant. When he's on the product his guts are working ...

My young gelding, when on grass, turns into a whole different horse. His attitude is crazy, he is spooky and nervous, but more importantly his back would be major sore, he would wince and twitch when being brushed and became quite the bronc under saddle. After starting him on this supplement, and providing free choice hay during the summer months, he has made a complete turn around. Can't live without it now!!

I am very happy with my purchase of jiaogulan (and spirulina). I was a first time user on my mare that has suffered from seasonal heaves for several years. I normally treat her with prednisolone and ventipulmin, and she's usually on the medications from the time it warms up in the spring until the start of summer (March/April to about June). This year, I did start her on prednisolone when her heaves started but I also decided to start her on spirulina and jiaogulan. I had her off the prednisolone within two weeks and her breathing on the spirulina and jiaogulan was BETTER than I'd ever heard it while on the medications. If I didn't know better I'd have thought she didn't have heaves. I'm 100% sold on these products.

My gelding is now shiny even in his winter coat, he finally has a topline even though he's been off-work for a year, and his hooves (which were previously dangerously close to white line disease due to poor diet) are looking better and better by the month.

Shipping was swift, my questions were answered quickly, and my Cushing mare's appearance and feet have improved in a short period of time on this mineral. I read other responses about horses not liking the minerals but I mix all my horses' minerals in with some soaked cubes and beet pulp daily. No trouble getting them to eat it. I also start with a smaller amount and increase to the daily dosage once they're used to the taste. Good minerals!

My now 20 year old warmblood mare was diagnosed with COPD 3 years ago. Until this year I was spending a fortune and trying everything I could find to get her cough under control. We tried steroids, bronchildilators, inhalers and I even bought a nebulizer. I can't even think about how much money I've spent on this disease(I love her and she is one of the family so I'm not complaining!). I was coming to terms with the thought that she would have to be retired and become a pasture pet....until I read the Dr. Kellon article on the Madbarn website. I decided to give Spirulina and Jiaogulan a go. I'm so happy that I did. This year we have not used the drugs or nebulizer once and have lost no riding days due to coughing! My mare has been on this supplement for 2.5 months now and wow, all the changes I'm seeing really tell me this product works! She has dapples all over her abdomen, shoulder, neck - she's never had dapples before! She has a nice shiny coat and better mane/tail growth too. She also has fast, healthy hoof growth, and she's healing much faster when getting a scrape out in the field. I love these products because they're a low cost for really good, effective quality. The perfect intro the equine health and nutrition! This course was easy to follow, informative and very interesting. The tasks for each module really help you apply your knowledge. I would recommend this course to any horse owner or rider.

My 35 year old pony had lost a lot of weight, had no back teeth left and barely survived sedation for the extraction of one of her last molars. The nutritionist from Mad Barn probably saved her life by tweaking her feed program to one that met her needs better. She regained the weight she had lost and is doing well a year later, thanks to this free service. I was amazed and grateful that my pony can enjoy her life again.
