I have an older gelding (now aged 22), and some time ago I wasn't happy with his condition. Although he was eating well and up to date on dental care, worming, etc. he was looking a bit pot-bellied and ribby. After I started him on Optimum Digestive Health pellets I soon noted an improvement in his condition, which he has maintained. I think the pellets are aiding his ability to properly digest his forage and ration balancer. Right now, he is receiving 1/2 the recommended amount each day.

The two ponies this product was used for have laminitis, it has made a huge improvement in their lives. They eat it straight with no carrier. Other horses I have tried it with would not eat it even with a carrier though so I guess every horse has their own preference.

I have two older horses who require Previcox to reduce pain associated with joint issues that ended their riding careers. I have started using Visceral in an effort to limit the ulcer inducing side effects of Firocoxib. I have noticed a change in behaviour, particularly in my 29-year-old mare. She is consistently more malleable and amenable to handling, as well as more tolerant with her pasture mates. I appreciate the research that supports this product; supplement manufacturers for the equine market need to follow this lead by Mad Barn. Horse owners want results from their supplement purchases, and riders who are committed to senior care of the horses that have enriched their li...
