Rarely any more do you get customer service that is polite AND prompt. This company does. As far as the product, I trust what’s in the bag is the true thing and not mixed with unnecessary things. My horse had less allergy reactions throughout the summer. His weight was easier to maintain (a much too easy keeper), and he didn’t reject eating it daily. I will be purchasing this item again. Satisfied customer.

I am currently on my 2nd bag of this for my older Appaloosa Quarter pony who has always had skin issues, I previously had her on Smartpak Sweet-itch ease and while I liked the ingredients it was expensive for 28 day supply. So, when I saw this and talked to a nutritionist I wanted to give it a try. My horse currently wheres a Amigo Bug buster fly sheet 24/7 because she is a fly magnet and she feels better with it on. I can tell a difference with the Spirulina and fly sheet. Her skin is smooth and soft and it has never felt better.

This turned out to be easier to feed than I thought after reading some of the comments. I started with a very small amount mixed into a small amount of soaked beet pulp with the rest of her supplements. My mare likes fenugreek and Ceylon cinnamon, so that’s was added as well. Didn’t take long at all for her to get up to the full amount recommended by the equine nutritionist. Hoping this will help with her IR and Cushings. Blood tests to be done soon.

This us my 2nd order of the spirulina. My horse gets a level 20cc scoop of the spirulina AM & PM along with a 50cc scoop of chia seed mixed in AM & PM. He gets a little Canola oil as well to help it all stick to his pellets. He just gets a balancer pellet and a scoop of lysine pellets. This is all for his hair coat in the summer. He gets some weird raised area on his one side by his girth area and it opens up like lesions and then he'll get a few more on that side as well. No where else does he get this and it starts in April and goes away in October. This is the 1st year (knock on wood) it has been kept at bay. I absolutely LOVE MadBarn and the Spirulina product. My mare eats it up with her pellets and Amino Trace supplements!!! She was so sick when I got her back, but since getting her on MadBarn products, her health is pristine!!! I found that the powder was very messy and smelly. My horse had developed heaves so I was looking for some respiratory help. My horse didn't like it at all and I ended up mixing it with some water and syringing it into her mouth. I used almost the whole bag diligently, but noticed no difference or improvements in her coughing or breathing. I will not be reordering.

I really think the spirulina is making a difference in my horses, muscle and weight. The only thing I hate is that his lips are always green after eating lunch and he gets it all over me but I love him and I think it’s a great product.
