I have an insulin-resistant pony that has to be carefully managed. Getting him to lose weight has been a challenge even on a forage-only diet. Amino Trace has made a huge difference with him. He is slowly looking trimmer (while maintaining good body condition). I body clipped him in early October and for the first time since I've owned him, the hair isn't growing back as quickly. He is brighter and more comfortable overall, and I believe Amino Trace is the reason!

This stuff is great. It is the first mineral supplement that my horses will actually willingly eat, and allowed me to significantly decrease the amount of grain I had to feed to coax them into consuming their supplements. I love that it is low NSC and low iron as well, a great option for my metabolic mares

In a nutshell - TraceAmino+ = an excellent product that includes a handful of supplements I was using separately, but especially helpful for my PPID horse, Jazz, and solved my senior's squirt issues. I had to find a pelleted supplement for my 18 year old 16.3 Percheron/TB mare when I moved to a new barn as she stopped eating her powdered supplements. While she does not currently have metabolic issues she is a draft cross and has a tendency to gain weight. Amino Trace+ took the place of three supplements I was feeding for hooves, extra amino acids, and a daily vitamin/mineral blend. She is very picky and I started slowly titration her up to the full dose for her size. She eats most of it mixed with teff pellets but usually leaves some in her feed bucket. I might reduce the amount of Amino Trace+ and increase the teff to see if she cleans her plate. Overall, I've been happy with how she's doing on it and wish it were more palatable.
