I???ve used this item at the same time with blood pressure monitor and a smart watch to check if the heart rate read outs match on the three items.They do for the most part, but sometimes there is a deviation with this item.I don???t recommend using it as a gold standard method for measuring your heart rate, however if you want to have a general idea, approximate ballpark measurement. I could not get this to communicate with my phone. But that isn???t a critical thing. What matters is whether the monitor itself gives you clear and consistent readings. This does.

Bought it for my 98 year old mom to monitor her O2 level. Works well, sometimes it doesn't like her finger placement and if it is in bright sunlight it won't read her levels but it will mine. Being older her skin is thinner and I think that has something to do with it. As long as she isn't in her favorite chair at high noon it works fine. Seems to give very similar results to what her Doctor gets ...

Got this for my dad who has been having shortness of breath/dizziness while walking. It's been good to look at it and see where he's at.
