I don't usually get sick, but I had the flu. I thought I had a fever, so I used a digital thermometer which showed my temperature as 97.7. I didn't trust it, so I used a traditional glass thermometer under my tongue and it showed my temperature as 100.4. I think the digital thermometer is unreliable.

I bought this for a relative who was just told they have type 2 Diabetes. It was not expensive, the instructions were very easy to understand, and it is great for testing blood sugar. I would suggest this item.

You won't have to struggle to get a child to stay still, or squint to read small numbers like on a traditional thermometer. It's also safer than glass thermometers filled with mercury.
