I've had this scale for 7 weeks and already had to change the batteries 4 times. The scale shows "Lo" and shuts off. I don't recommend this scale because the battery life is bad. I used the batteries that came with the scale, Duracell, and Energizer. I weighed myself 2-3 times a week. I contacted customer support and they sent me a new scale. I saw an advertisement on TV at 2 am while I was changing channels, so I ordered it and received it the same day. I would give a 5-star review if it wasn't for the mobile app, which is necessary to access your data. The app doesn't sync quickly and can take up to 24 hours to update. Oxiline suggests that low battery or an uneven surface may be causing the issue. By logging out and back into the app, you can fix the problem, but this means the app disconnects often.
