I spent so many hours trying to figure this out and f*@&ing around with JS and CSS. I downloaded this plug-in, and about 3 minutes later I had a lightbox up and running. More than worth the $30.

This is a killer plugin. Super simple to install, and works just as explained - literally takes you less than 2 mins to implement. All plugins should be this simple.
