It's a good tool but not awesome. It's very well made and should last. The case is good and has a space at the rear for a small pair of folding scissors (a feature the Union lacks). What I would say is that Mike is an engineer but not a designer and it shows. The tool is very capable with lots of tools built in (and even bits). Balancing scope of use with ease of use in limited cases is a design choice. My preference leans to depth of capability. I want the best chance of solving an issue and moving along. Especially if im in a pinch and that fix could save me hours of being stranded, etc. Tortoise and hare, I suppose. Both are successful species. 😀 Thanks for highlighting the build quality! Mike

I could not return the file the extended lock position. I tried to open the metal w to disengage the file from the extended position and that did not work. Then I tried to use the open wood saw to disengage the file from the open position. Now all three are stuck in the fully extended position.

I waited 4 years to recieve my tool. I got it and immediatly put it to use at my job. Great for disassambling different furniture items and the versatilty is very nice. Hi, Kyle. The saws should have unlocked with a partial unfolding of another blade. Not sure from your description if that was how you used it. If you still had it, we'd see if you needed a warranty claim. As it is, thanks so much for sharing here. Mike
