Having been on a couple of Rich's group events I booked a private lesson to concentrate on macro photography. He took care to establish both my aims for the day (bugs) and my current knowledge and experience and tailored the day accordingly. He is a very patient teacher and followed up the day with a PDF summarising the main points we covered. Heartily recommend, and am looking to re-book to cover...

A really enjoyable day, in and around Ilkley, with great scenery, excellent company and plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities. Rich ensured that we were in the best locations and provided many tips on how to spot wildlife and capture better images. Looking forward to returning.

You have really helped me get to grips with my new bridge camera and how to use it to great effect on wildlife and landscape photography. Really enjoyed my private lesson with Rich. I asked Rich to show me how to use my Lee Filter (big stopper) as I had not used it before. He was very patient, and explained everything in detail. He knows the best location to photograph in the area and I got some amazing photos. I would definitely recommend Rich.

After a morning spent with Richard we came away from his studio with plenty of enthusiasm to start using our cameras properly and explore every aspect of taking photos in the future. Richard is such a good teacher and a very talented photographer so keen to share his knowledge and answer our questions. Thank You Helen for the introduction to Richard’s Studio highly recommended.

Had a Half day session with Rich. I learnt and unbelievable amount. Rich had a great way of explaining the workings of cameras and how to achieve better quality photos. I now feel much more confident and have found an even greater interest in photography. Throughly enjoyed myself and would highly recommend.

My friend and I had an afternoon with Rich as we both felt that despite having been photographers for many years, we were both self-taught and thought and were missing out on some important theory and practical advice, so off we went. I have to say that it was time well spent. Rich was an excellent tutor and structured the afternoon to meet our slightly different needs. We both learned 'new stuff'...
