I recently joined Richard on his After Dark Night Photo Walks in Leeds and Saltaire. Both were excellent and enjoyable with very helpful input from Richard. I am very pleased with my photos from the nights and with the new knowledge I gained. I can fully recommend Richard.

Had a really great day out learning about how best to use our camera's. One of us is very technical and the other (me) not. Rich gave excellent lessons on how to best capture what we saw in our beautiful surrounding. A great day I would do again

I booked a lesson with Richard hoping for the opportunity to photograph barn owls locally. We were fortunate to have a lovely sunny evening and Richard clearly knew his area and the best places to look. We found little owls and deer, but disappointingly on this occasion the barn owls remained uncooperative. Obviously with wildlife there were no guarantees. However Richard mentioned (and included i...

Our young Addingham environmentalists, The Saplings, spent a fascinating morning with Rich out and about in Addingham. Their theme was Signs of Spring and Rich gave them some wonderful tips and ideas for taking interesting and unusual photographs. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and what 's more our Saplings took some great photographs. Thank you, loved it.

I had an excellent 1to 1 half day tuition with Richard on Ilkley Moor. It has greatly helped my understanding of the technical aspects of my camera as well as improving the composition of my images so they no longer looked flat and boring. I would recommend any one wishing to improve their skills in landscape photography to have a session with Richard in the dramatic landscape of the moor. Richard...

We spent a very nice morning (socially distanced!) with Rich looking for Kingfishers. Unfortunately they proved a little elusive. We had a few "fly bys" but no perching birds. However we learnt how and where to look and more importantly how to listen for the birds on future trips. I would certainly recommend arranging a session. Many thanks to Rich.

My goal this year was to photograph puffins and we travelled up from Essex for this photowalk. It was worth every mile! We were lucky with the weather and we saw lots of puffins as well as all the other seabirds around. We were really lucky and saw a barn owl on our return to the car park. Rich took us to some fabulous spots, we walked about 5 miles and we had access to some great views. We had gr...

Despite the fact we were on public rights of way, Rich's route took us through quiet open meadows, woodland, farmland and alongside established hedgerows. His ability to spot and then share wildlife in each habitat was exceptional. In preparation for owl spotting, Rich discussed in-depth the fragility of the ecosystem that supports each species and how this is influenced by human practices. Legal...
