Rain and wind didn't dampen an excellent day spent at Bempton Cliffs. I came way feeling exercised, energised and in possession of more photography skills that I set off with. Rich was helpful and friendly and the handout that accompanied the walk was equally informative. Rich is a really good teacher. He listens to what you want to achieve and tailors the day to what you want to understand and learn. You never feel he is taking a formulaic approach, rather he engages with the questions you raise and offers his considered view and considerable technical competence to address the issues. What a great evening wandering about York and learning about low light night settings. The weather certainly didn’t dampen our enthusiasm and Rich was a very attentive and patient teacher. Nice to spend the evening with other photographers. Thank you and see you again soon!

I attended the night Photo walk in Manchester and enjoyed it. Rich is both knowledgeable and personable. He spends time carefully teaching the techniques and is happy to help you. The location was well chosen. An excellent evening.

This photo walk was a fun and relaxed way to expand photographic knowledge. Rich was patient and knowledgable and made time to answer all of our questions. Some of the time was spent considering technical issues but by far the most useful was Rich sharing his experience on composition, framing, alternative points of view and how to get that elusive shot. My friend has been even more inspired to try night photography, whilst my wife has been enthused about painting with light from multicoloured torches as well as lasers and flashguns through various coloured gels. It leaves us with one observation. Please keep doing what you’ve always done, as your enthusiasm is so infectious that it’s impossible to resist!

My wife and I spent a full day with Rich, exploring and photographing Ilkey Moor and Malham Dale. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire day and came away with some images that will adorn the walls of our house back in Australia. Thanks for a great day, Rich.
