I’ve finally had the chance to use this slow force rod not as jigging but flylining live sardines on the Polaris Supreme out of San Diego. I paired this rod with a Daiwa Saltiga star drag 30HA reel. 50lb braid backing direct to 30lb 5’ flouro leader. I had 100% success pulling 5/5 BFT, west coast Yellowtail and YFT up to 40lbs. Bought my do it all at the Ft Lauderdale Boat show last year. Been using it since. I out fish everyone on the boat with this rod. It's so sensitive. The guys i fish with call their wives and say Sharon is catching all the fish again. They were worried about the fact this rod is so light and thought it might snap. Now they are believers. Was invited to glouseter Massachusetts for cod and haddock fishing on the tuna.com. I used my gale force slow pitch rod with 210gram johnny jig. I caught 4 different species. Rod preformed beautifully. Would highly recommend. Ty twins. Tight lines.
