Just like links golf but on top of the moors! Far reaching views to die for, fairways and greens as good as anywhere and I've played West Lancs, Penrith, Hexham and Cleveland this year to name a few and they're as good as any of those!! One or two delightfully quirky holes but all in all a proper test of golf. If you haven't tried it, you should!!

A great test of links golf always found to be well presented, greens at a good pace. Nice clubhouse, friendly staff and well stocked Pro Shop. Dormy House reputed to be good although I have not stayed. Personally I rate this to be one of the top three courses in Wales. Aberdyfi is a great place to stay with lots to do other than the golf. Highly recommended.

Excellent! What an absolute gem of a golf course. Not overly long, but very cleverly designed with great greens, small strategically placed bunkers and brilliant views of Derbyshire. The first three holes are a little bit backwards and forwards, but from the fourth onwards, an elevated par 3, it starts to show its subtle class. I do not understand bad reviews, as this is a brilliant layout. It's a...

It's just a great moorland course, not a tree in sight. Risk & Reward holes, driveable pars 4s (depending on the wind...) it has the lot. The par 3 2nd is iconic. BUT not for the fainthearted, hilly, my partner said 15 holes uphill and 3 down, not really but it feels like it, at least the par 5 18th is all downhill. I've played opens at this course every year for the past 8, mostly for £10,...

Troon Darley won the 2019 Scottish Golf title of best value golf course which can be played for under £30. It is a challenging course with lots of variety in the holes - something for everyone!

Great course, few holes you will look at and think easy then when you finally sink the ball you will thank the golfing gods. Fabulous links course with some of the best views you will ever see. Bbasic club house but you will be made so welcome and treated like everyone has known you all your life. Don't visit Scotland without visiting Dunaverty GC.

Kington is the number one golf course in Herefordshire according to www.top100golfcourses.com. The course offers unrivalled panoramic views. The free-draining moorland turf often renders the course playable when other local courses are water-logged.

September 2019 was the second time I have come to play the senior open at Pennard. Love it! Fabulously undulating fairways and greens make it such an interesting challenge. Greens excellent and quick, fairways a little worn in places, but understandably so. Lots of good holes, but 7th my favourite with its incredibly challenging green! Great fun standing on the tees trying to work out where the...
