A great 'away from it all' experience. I agree with everything Ed writes here; and we found a very friendly welcome in the clubhouse, and good, well-priced food. The course was virtually deserted, on a fair summer's day. One thing: I did indeed hasten over the rise to the first to see where my well-struck approach had got to (could I perhaps birdy the FIRST HOLE?). Although we spent a good 10 min...

Trevose oversells itself....the course condition is average and the greens are in poor condition for a Links Course. Played in a big charity day last month and the Entry Fee (£70) included a meal. Frozen chicken breast that was only partially cooked and inedible. Thankfully, the Charity benefited, but we won't be returning next year.

Best views of any course I’ve ever played. Back nine got a bit messy with loads of blind and short holes but that’s part of link. Staff were amazing.

A must play if in Dorset Played in their Senior Open in early August 2021 and we were blessed with light winds and 23° temp. Very undulating track with some stunning golf holes. The 5th will live long in the memory with spectacular views across The Solent with The Needles clearly in view. Fairways were patchy as sadly they have had leatherjackets visiting. Club have recently appointed the forme...

This is a superb 9 hole links that challenges all aspects of your game the comments on the 3 holes over the railway are Harsh the 3rd is a risk reward par 5 the 4th a strategic short par 4 and 5th a difficult par 3 all three holes require accuracy . The finishing holes are as stated just great links holes. The green fee allows you to play 18 it is good value

Played Mach Dunes in late September 2020. The Starter was very helpful in explaining the layout of the course, but even so we did have trouble playing the 17th. This was probably one of the hardest links courses I have played - some blind shots, undulating fairways and greens plus huge dunes. Quite a long walk but a real challenging golfing experience.

The layout of this course is amazing. It hasn't a bad hole. All is interesting. Greens are good hardly a straight putt anywhere. Par threes are possibly the trickiest short holes on any course. Par fours need accuracy with length. Par fives need two mighty hits to reach so caution might be needed. This course a must for a Golfer who wants a challenge. The Blue tees offer another 300 extra ya...

Played the Montgomerie and Roman road as part of a golfbreaks deal. Having played them before, I knew what to expect, very hilly but a lot of very good, challenging and enjoyable golf holes on both courses. Unfortunately on this visit, all of the staff resource was on the 2010 course and it was very very obvious. Greens on both courses nowhere near good enough, very very soft, bumpy and too s...
