I have 2 Icelandic geldings, named Falki and Loki. The health and wellness of my horses has always been of upmost importance. Falki is 25 years old and has some health issues, primarily insulin resistance and cushings. For the past 6+ years, Mad Barn has manufactured a custom mineral mix specifically made for me to complement my hay analysis. As well, I've also used various other products available from Mad Barn. I feel Mad Barn has played a key role in helping keep my horses happy and healthy. I have always been pleased with the quality of their products and their customer service is excellent. On occasion when I've had an issue with delivery of an order ( I live in a very rural MB location), Scott has went above and beyond to ensure the problem was resolved in a timely manner.

I tried your product because my mare appears to have EMS. I have been using Cal Trace for some time and wanted to see if your product made any improvements on her condition. I really didn’t notice any difference. Good product but costs more.

I purchased a nutrition consult by Dr. Eleanor Kellon for my two horses and this product, among three others by Mad Barn, was recommended. I am optimistic that all will be beneficial in the long term as I have confidence in the advice of Dr. Kellon.

Great product and excellent service

My horses eat it mixed in with moistened forage pellets, so it’s palatable, that’s half the battle. My horses have good body conditioning and super shiny hair coats. I was hoping for improved hoof quality, and while their hooves aren’t bad, they have room for improvement, and I haven’t seen that since starting Omniety.

I would give the Spirulina 5 stars, except my horses dislike it and I have to mix it in a mash...even then, my two chow hounds will not always finish it. Maybe another delivery model like pelletizing it would work better as it is somewhat of a mess to handle the fine powder.

When we first combined this with the spirulina we’ve been giving our girl with respiratory issues for a few years it seemed to help better than the meds the vet prescribed; however, I don’t know if it is still working as her breathing has become an issue to the point where she has lost over 100 lbs from coughing. We mix her supplements with beet pellets and lately she’s gone off that for some reason so we’re not sure if she doesn’t like the taste of the jiaogulan or it’s the beets. In any case, the added jiaogulan seemed to help almost immediately when we started it. I would definitely recommend it for respiratory issues.
