I started using this in September 2023. The change is incredible! I started seeing a healthier, thicker, and (getting) longer coat/mane/tail (aided by the onset of winter) after one month! Her white line issue is gone after dealing with it on and off the past few years. I absolutely love this!

My 22 year old paint draft cross, Thomas Jefferson, has suffered from summer sores in the humid Ohio summers since we moved back from the dryer climate of Colorado a few years ago. He would get crusties on his legs, and itchy sores on his stomach, and twice he broke out in crusties all over his body. I decided to give oil a try after doing some research on it's positive effects for skin. I choose Mad Barn W-3 due to its marine-based ingredients, which are more efficient for horses to metabolize - at least according to my arm chair computer research. I started him in March of 2023 and we went through the entire summer with ZERO SORES!!! I could not believe it! I am thrilled, and I'm sure Mr. T is more comfortable. He has no problem eating it up, and he looks great. Thank-you Mad Barn.

I’ll be honest. I wasn’t a huge believer in supplements. I had gone through a few other brands and not gotten any of the promised results. One day Mad Barn came up during my search and after reading the reviews and knowing they had a 60 day guarantee I figured I might as well give it a try. All I can say is holy sh*t!!! After about 40 days on 100ml of the W-3 supplement my 19 year old mare is running around and bucking like a foal!!! I literally have NEVER seen her buck or rear and now she looks like she’s living her best life out in the pasture. To give you a better idea, before this oil, my mare was in bad shape. As soon as our winters start setting in and the temp drops she gets EXTREMELY stiff. In fact she was getting so bad I had a vet recommended putting her down, but I just couldn’...

I can’t say for certain that the Jiaogulan and Spirulina I’m feeding is having any positive effect but I like the concept of it so will continue to feed it. Overall, her energy levels are up but it may be to the overall MadBarn diet I am feeding her (timothy cubes, beet pulp, spirulina, jiaogulan, AminoTrace+ and w-3 oil). It smells absolutely awful (like a swamp) so I imagine most horses wouldn’t eat it if not soaked with other food. I mix 2 scoops in 6 cups of water with 1/2 lb Timothy cubes and 1/4 lb beet pulp. My mare is also testing higher in selenium than she ever was (she notoriously tested low) since feeing AminoTrace+ and spirulina which is supposed to have selenium in it too. I never noticed any difference in her allergies being on spirulina.

I started giving my horse MadBarn Milk Thistle at the beginning of this spring after he foundered late summer the year before. No recurring laminitic episode since, and while I’m not sure how much of that is due to the milk thistle, what has been noticeable is a bog reduction in seasonal allergies. For the first time in 4 years he did not lose hair on his face & stomach this summer, and less prolonged coughing which he’s struggled with during peak pollen times in spring/fall. I feel like the milk thistle is a cost effective piece of his maintenance puzzle.

I bought a Gypsy Vanner 6 YO broodmare in April 2023 and she has struggled in switching over to our Michigan hay and grain (came from Kansas). She became extremely irritable as months went on and had consistent diarrhea, drinking loads of water and salt. Turns out she had minimal handling and skills which only made her more confused and ulcer prone when I started asking basic things from her. After reviewing her previous feeds at her prior home and Tribute feed she was getting here (Essential K) , I noticed the biggest difference was Soy products in Tribute. I pulled her off all Tribute products after speaking/messaging consultation with the wonderful Melissa at MadBarn and we switched her to Omneity Pre-mix and soaked Alfalfa pellets. She has had liquidish poop for SIX MONTHS and today 1...

I purchased a long-yearling filly who upon arriving was going through what I assume was her first heat. She was in agony, she would squeal at anyone that touched her face and nose and was just a witch to be around. (Made me question why I wanted a filly so bad, good thing she is pretty) We worked through that heat while I waited for the Chasteberry to arrive. Well, she just went through her next heat and the difference was crazy! Besides being a little owly, there was no squealing, she wasn't rubbing her butt or peeing all the time. As per other reviews, I did NOT have a tough time getting my filly to eat it. Mixed with Omenity pellets, Alfalfa Pellets and W3 Oil. BUT, the smell of it is kind of off-putting, so I could see if you had a picky eater, you may have to do more to hide it.
