I rarely write reviews, but this magnesium oxide has worked wonders for my guy. He was never really a spooky horse. But over the transition from last winter to spring, he came off of fresh grass pasture in Feb and went back on to lush spring grass in May, and he became nearly unridable during this time. He was looky, spooky and had great difficulty concentrating. We both took a hit on our confidence. From my past experience and knowledge on human physiology, I know magnesium plays a big role in nerve modulation, which helps with both brain function and muscle function. So I decided to trial Mg to give him some extra help (if that's the missing piece). Voila! My mare had significant sun bleaching and a friend recommended getting a zinc/copper supplement to help. I was already a long-time Mad Barn customer, so I picked up the 3:1 Zinc Copper and the results have been amazing! She went from having poor coat quality with brown patches all over to a beautiful solid black, shiny coat in four weeks!

My horse loves the pellets, wasn’t such a fan of the powder…though my cow licks it up, so it isn’t going to waste! It has been 5 weeks and his coat is starting to get back to his beautiful dark brown, his hooves have grown significantly!!! Thanks to the addition I think he is finally on the path to complete health again!!!

I started using this product this summer with my 19 yr old PSSM1 mare. She has always exhibited resp. stress (heavy breathing out of proportion to the level of exercise) when trail riding up hills or perhaps an easy canter in the arena. That has absolutely corrected itself with the use of AlCar. She now can be exercised and ridden like a normal horse. What a joy! Thank you to Dr. Kellon for the suggestion.

This stuff is worth it's weight in gold! My 20+ year old gelding got out of a bad boarding situation and could not bounce back over the winter. Started him on this supplement in late April and did lots of light exercise. The difference in him physically and mentally is incredible! We got to start trot work and cantering on the trails this month and it's been lovely. Three Amigos has helped me get my senior back. (Standing weird in "after" photo because he is trying to roll lol)

While it's too soon to see results on Omneity, I simply have to share my thanks and excitement. I first ordered the Omneity pellets for my 18 year old IR Arabian, and he would not touch them (not even a teaspoon in his favorite carrier!). Mad Barn was so helpful and sent me some of the powder to try instead, which my horse ate happily. I am so excited to see how he does on this incredible supplement, which seems far superior to any vitamin/mineral supplement on the market, and I am excited to eliminate our current balancer and other supplements. I am really pleased with the price of the powder and actually thankful that my horse prefers it to the more expensive pellets. Mad Barn's customer service is fantastic. Thank you, Mad Barn! I can't wait to see the results!

This is a fantastic introduction to equine nutrition for horse owners/caretakers. Chris Mortensen and the Mad Barn team have found the perfect balance of hitting the most important points while keeping the course content relatively short but still extremely relevant and useful. I think every horse owner should take this kind of course when deciding to adopt a horse. As a collaborator with Mad Barn, I took the course to deepen my knowledge of equine nutrition and help test the course before it launched and I will definitely be recommending it to other horse owners.

I was needing a supplement to help give one of my horses more energy and I noticed a slight difference after a week of him being on it. He has now been on the oil for a month and there is a huge difference in his demeanor. I'm not having to push him as hard as I used to and he doesn't get as tired as easily. He also doesn't act hot in anyway. His coat has gotten shinier and he has gained a little weight. I personally don't have a problem with any of my horses not wanting to eat the feed that have the oil on it. I have not had any trouble with the packaging or this use of the product.

The perfect intro the equine health and nutrition! This course was easy to follow, informative and very interesting. The tasks for each module really help you apply your knowledge. I would recommend this course to any horse owner or rider.

My name is Kim. Well, its been a month and a half since I started Buddy on MagneChrome and Spirulina and a month since he started the jiaogulan . Up to date, hes lost weight and feels great. The cresty neck has shrunk! I didnt think it was going to go away so fast. Hes 23 and we started him on an exercise program due to his boredom. Hes just doing great and looking great. Im so glad I came across this MadBarn site. I also have to say that he also had a heavy breathing thing going on and that is nearly gone. Crazy.
