This past summer I was treating my mare's respiratory allergies with antihistamine. In addition, we stripped her stall of shavings, soaked her hay and seemed to have things under control. With our rainy winters there are lots of allergens in the environment. That coupled with the re-introduction of shavings to her stall, the nasal discharge resumed. I was sceptical about using Spirulina. However in discussion with my vet who endorsed its use and from my previous experience with other Mad Barn products , I thought it was worth trying. My mare has been on Spirulina for approximately three weeks and there is no sign of nasal discharge or respiratory problems. I have a very sensitive gelding, that often gets allergies and in some extreme cases causes small hives. He also has a sensitive gut so we don’t like to put him on DEX unless it’s very necessary. Then I discovered Spirulina. Spirulina has changed my horses life, hives all gone, and much more content in his own skin. I love how Mad Barn has worked for my miniature horses. Combined with a solid weight loss plan and the use of Amino Trace , my horses are now looking fit and feel great. It took awhile for them to get used to it, but they gobble it up very quickly now. The time from ordering to being shipped was quick.

Shipping was swift, my questions were answered quickly, and my Cushing mare's appearance and feet have improved in a short period of time on this mineral. I read other responses about horses not liking the minerals but I mix all my horses' minerals in with some soaked cubes and beet pulp daily. No trouble getting them to eat it. I also start with a smaller amount and increase to the daily dosage once they're used to the taste. Good minerals!

My now 20 year old warmblood mare was diagnosed with COPD 3 years ago. Until this year I was spending a fortune and trying everything I could find to get her cough under control. We tried steroids, bronchildilators, inhalers and I even bought a nebulizer. I can't even think about how much money I've spent on this disease(I love her and she is one of the family so I'm not complaining!). I was coming to terms with the thought that she would have to be retired and become a pasture pet....until I read the Dr. Kellon article on the Madbarn website. I decided to give Spirulina and Jiaogulan a go. I'm so happy that I did. This year we have not used the drugs or nebulizer once and have lost no riding days due to coughing! I do have to say that I also have her in as much of a dust free...

My old man (27 years old) is on W-3. He's doing great. He was on Camelina oil and my daughter told me that W-3 was better so I switched over a year ago and I haven't regretted it. He looks healthy and happy. He's also on Optimum digestive health, chaster berry, biotin and MSM. And soon to be on Omneity. It's been a struggle to keep the diarrhea at bay in the winter. I love this company and their products.My horses have been 0n their products for at least a year I have a 2 year old and a 3year old and just the other day added a 6 month old filly,She was started on there products that day. with my 2 older ones I always get asked what Im doing with feed etc.They get the best hay and oats and Mad Barn products.I am constantly getting complements on how big they are for their age and how well built they are with muscles at their young age.I tell them what Im doing and encourage them to give these products a try.I have even had complements from breeders and vets and even farriers what great shape my horses are in,
