I ordered this to protect the liver of my Three horses because there are trees in my pasture that would be toxic if they eat them and I can’t take them down. I believe it works well except maybe a little two well as my cushings mare was becoming more symptomatic. And I realized that the milk thistle was likely clearing out her precend! So I took her off of it. And she’s responding to her meds again so I wouldn’t use on a horse that needs meds for an ongoing condition! The other two are doing well on it.

My mare was diagnosed with liver dysfunction last year. For the first several months I was recommended to use only liquid milk thistle, for fastest absorption, and was then given the ok to move on to a dried supplement. She is continuing to do just as well on this supplement and it is affordable enough for me to continue long term. I'm very happy with the Madbarn's dried milk thistle and will likely be using it permanently for my mare.

Had seriously high liver readings in my gelding's bloodwork pulled in for routine check, did a round of antibiotics in case of infection (which he had no other signs of so probably not the case), then this Milk Thistle to cleanse liver. Bloodwork pulled about 3 weeeks being on cleanse showed drastic improvement in GGT. Vet said to leave him on it and check again 3 months to see if more improvement. Very happy with results.

I started my herd on the Milk Thistle supplement about a month ago. My senior mare with Cushings and Stringhalt showed remarkable results after just 10 days. Though the Stringhalt is still there, it's much less severe. She seems more comfortable overall.

My horse loves the taste of the milk thistle. Price is reasonable. I started her on it to help with insulin regulation. I will have her levels tested in a couple of weeks and will update my review after that.
