I started my two senior geldings on Optium for two separate reasons. One horse has “cow paddie” manure and a pot belly. The other horse had frequent, excessive gas. Within a week I started to see results with both horses. After a couple months I stopped feeding them Optium thinking they were over their symptoms, but their symptoms returned. One of my horses is very picky so I had to start with a very small amount and gradually increased it. A few low sugar treats mixed in his feed helped introduce it to his diet. I plan on keeping my horses on Optium.

I had tried other products that were recommended but Optimum Digestive Health is exceptional. Within 7 days there was a difference in his stool. No more watery, loose stool for my 27 year old boy. This has helped my senior TB get his gut health back to normal and absorbing food again. He had an intense secondary infection after having a bot shed off in his GI lining, and was on a ton of antibiotics, after that he slowly started losing weight. His hind gut made crazy sounds you could hear in the cross ties. Communicating with Mad barn, getting their advice, ordering and receiving product is always a positive experience. I gave my highly flatulent mare the Optimum Digestive Health product for a full month as recommended, however, did not see a significant reduction in her gassiness.
