My horse has PPID and thin soles, so I was excited to try this. I bought the small size first to make sure my horse would eat it before I spent all that money on the large bag. He ate it no problem. So I spent the money on the big bag. Two scoops into the expensive bag, he has decided it’s inedible. So I can’t comment on results, but if you have a picky eater, you will need to drop this supplement into some sweet feed to make it palatable. Unfortunately, my horse can’t have sweet feed, so the large bag is currently in my basement doing nothing.

My horse doesn't like the taste. I've been trying to work it into his grain slowly, but so far he's not intersted. He did love the omniety.

Only 2 of my 5 horses will eat this. It’s great for the ones who will eat it.

I canceled my subscription order because my horse would not eat the pellets. I tried all my tricks, but nothing worked. Not your fault, just my picky old gelding (the stinker). LOL

My horse refused to eat it. I tried adding a variety of flavorings but never could get any interest. I tried adding to her original ration balancer (which she likes) in tiny increments, but as soon as it got to be about a tablespoon (included in 1/4 lb of the original), she'd refuse the entire portion. I think the ingredients are great, and am disappointed it didn't work out for us.

They finally made the situation right, but it took FOREVER! They don't understand how "customer service" works OR what it is for,...

I know this is a good product, and that it provides much-needed support for all four of my horses. When they will eat it, that is! I wish you could find a way to make it more palatable. They filter it out and eat around it much of the time, especially the oldest, neediest horses. I’ll continue to try to disguise it and feed it but it is frustrating to find only the Amino Trace pellets left in an otherwise polished feeder!

I think it is helpful but my horse doesn’t like it. It takes all day to get ½ dose down him.
