Had a Half day session with Rich. I learnt and unbelievable amount. Rich had a great way of explaining the workings of cameras and how to achieve better quality photos. I now feel much more confident and have found an even greater interest in photography. Throughly enjoyed myself and would highly recommend.

After a morning spent with Richard we came away from his studio with plenty of enthusiasm to start using our cameras properly and explore every aspect of taking photos in the future. Richard is such a good teacher and a very talented photographer so keen to share his knowledge and answer our questions. Thank You Helen for the introduction to Richard’s Studio highly recommended.

You have really helped me get to grips with my new bridge camera and how to use it to great effect on wildlife and landscape photography. A really enjoyable day, in and around Ilkley, with great scenery, excellent company and plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities. Rich ensured that we were in the best locations and provided many tips on how to spot wildlife and capture better images. Looking forward to returning.

Having been on a couple of Rich's group events I booked a private lesson to concentrate on macro photography. He took care to establish both my aims for the day (bugs) and my current knowledge and experience and tailored the day accordingly. He is a very patient teacher and followed up the day with a PDF summarising the main points we covered. Heartily recommend, and am looking to re-book to cover...

Rich is a lovely patient instructor . He helped me understand where I’d been going wrong . I’m a mature woman who has found the application a struggle . I’m much more confident and can’t wait to get started on my photos. Definitely recommend the course

Great and enjoyable photowalk with Rich. He took the group through compositions and settings and was always available one-to-one for personal tips and advice. Highly recommended.

I attended a walk and talk with Rich last week about British owls with my 13 year old daughter. I cannot recommend Rich enough - the talk was extremely informative and then there was the walk, which was excellent. Rich gave us a real insight into how to interpret landscape to give us the best chance to see owls. We were rewarded with seeing two Little Owls, enhanced by also being able to view them...

Fantastic 1:1 half day session with Rich covering the twilight hours and either side. My objective was to build confidence with manual settings of the camera, along with framing and composition under various light conditions.
