My second visit after the first some years ago I was keen to return, and again had a thoroughly adventurous and enjoyable game. The course is not too penal but makes demands on your game especially around the greens. This region has some really great courses and the people are extremely friendly even to Australians. Brora is a must play in your lifetime of golf.

First impressions were of a rough and ready local course They are working at improvements on a number of holes and I can imagine in a year or so this course will step up to a level where those who love links golf will be rushing to play Our caddies were local members who made our day only the better and I can safely say if you are in the area don’t miss playing this course

Initially you think basic, tight and gorse everywhere BUT the course has some wonderfully varietal holes intermingled with good but not inspiring holes and THE VIEWS from most holes are terrific. The gorse is present but not nearly as much as it first seemed. The fairways when we played were recovering from a drought and we all agreed we would be very happy to return for some fun golf and a welco...

A huge surprise! Staying at Dornoch we decided to play all the local courses as well as the top shelf rated ones and they just kept delighting our group At Golspie you had to be on your game especially on at least half the holes to avoid bad scoring The outlook from the clubhouse was sublime and a great day was had in mostly sun with plenty of wind.

Played the course in the past few weeks and although it is a tough walk, it's has some great holes. Make sure you are driving thr ball well or you'll struggle. Practice facilities before you tee off are top class and no excuse not to be warmed up before you tee off!

The first impressions are excellent, a warm friendly welcome. The Proshop staff and course marshals are very helpful and knowledgeable. I played the JH Taylor course off the back tees. The layout was challenging and the course was in perfect condition. The bunkering is very well thought out and the greens are fast and true. I highly recommend you play this course.

Superb condition on the first 7th parkland and when you come to the 8th 9th 10th which is links overlooking the sea, it was still in excellent condition considering they had no rain for weeks. Back to parkland from the 11th. Greens kind and well kept. Ideal place to play with friends. Friendly staff and offers food to pre order. Great 19th hole with a outdoor balcony overlooking the sea. I found that the welcome, passion and enthusiasm for the club by the members and staff at every interaction to be first class, it was great to hear and see the exciting projects underway at the oldest club in Leeds (founded in 1892) A new practice facility complete with 2 full size greens and bunkers will be magnificent as will the additional irrigation system to provide water to tees and fairways...
