My horse doesn't seem thrilled with the taste as he has been leaving some og his feed uneaten. Problem may be that I was inadvertently giving him too much since I couldn't locate the measuring scoop in the container when I 1st received it. Found it yesterday when the container was 2/3 empty.

Purchase & delivery all handled well. I put a lot of faith in the product and realized I was wrong this week. I initialy thought the flaking on the front of my mare's hooves was just initial periople shedding, but it is evident there is something amiss because her outer hoof wall appears to be delaminating and crumbling. I have had to use Hoof Armor frequently to keep the crumbling minimized. She's had thin soles previously but her hoof walls were in good condition prior to starting Aminotrace + and the flaking and delaminating has subseqently developed.

I wanted to love the Optimum, and at first I did. It seemed to have an almost immediate impact on my senior mare's sloppy manure and fecal water. But now that two months have passed with her getting it every day, those results have not lasted. She has 24/7 access to hay, she is getting Senior grain twice a day and she gets one scoop of Optimum with grain once a day. Now that it's super cold, once again her tail is freezing and she has poop-cicles on her backside. I'm so sad, I really wanted this to do what it seems to do for other customers.

I’m not sure. She’s had two abscesses since we switched. She’s also starting to chew the wood in her stall, so maybe she is missing some nutrients?

Have no idea of its usefulness or effectiveness. Be sure to check with your veterinarian before using any Mad Barn products. So I was told by a nutritionist at Mad Barn . I’ve used thousands of their products and that was their advice to me. Also, usually don’t answer the phone. Said they are very busy. Have had to make several calls a number of times to even place an order.

thank you for your concern. My feedback would be that both our horses seemed sluggish when we added the Aminotrace+ even though nutritional consultation would suggest that this is the ideal product. We are in a different season now and we will slowly try to reintroduce it and see how it goes. Thank you.

What am I supposed to do with a fanny pack? I would rather have a grain scoop or free product samples.

Not sure what I would do with a fanny pack. A clear case for a medical kit may be more useful

I bought this for my horse who I've had on a respiratory supplement in the past. His cough/loud breathing has become more noticeable so I decided to give NOCR a try. However I could not get him to finish his grain so it must be unpalatable. When I first opened the container, I noticed it had a very strong smell so I only put a quarter of a scoop in with his grain to introduce it to him. Once I got to half a scoop, he refused to finish his grain. It was frustrating having him waste his food so I stopped feeding this supplement and am now left with an expensive bag that I can't use! I wish this was more palatable and this is a horse that is not a very picky eater.
