I am very happy with MagneChrome and all of the Madbarn products. (I took Dr Kellon’s course years ago, to help understand why my horses were failing after moving to another part of the province in NS). When I found Madbarn and it was not only a Canadian company, but it was also on the same page when it comes to horse nutrition! So thank you for that! As for this MagneChrome specifically, I got my gelding back that was staying with a friend, who’s life changed and could not longer ride him. That being said, he put the weight back on and was in a dangerous zone. Our two horses love this oil. I love the smell of it. Coats are always shiny and healthy. Combined with other minerals from Madbarn, the Gypsy Vanner’s dry skin issue behind his knees, is clearing up on its own. :) They have been since July 2023.

I purchased a long-yearling filly who upon arriving was going through what I assume was her first heat. She was in agony, she would squeal at anyone that touched her face and nose and was just a witch to be around. (Made me question why I wanted a filly so bad, good thing she is pretty) We worked through that heat while I waited for the Chasteberry to arrive. Well, she just went through her next heat and the difference was crazy! Besides being a little owly, there was no squealing, she wasn't rubbing her butt or peeing all the time. As per other reviews, I did NOT have a tough time getting my filly to eat it. Mixed with Omenity pellets, Alfalfa Pellets and W3 Oil. BUT, the smell of it is kind of off-putting, so I could see if you had a picky eater, you may have to do more to hide it.

I've been using spirulina for my horse with allergies & a gelding with heaves. I am also giving herbs ( thyme, fennel seeds) to the gelding. Both horses are doing well and I haven't needed to give Dexamethasone except occasionally. Last year the gelding was on a daily dose of steroid.
