I could not get this to communicate with my phone. But that isn???t a critical thing. What matters is whether the monitor itself gives you clear and consistent readings. This does.

I???ve used this item at the same time with blood pressure monitor and a smart watch to check if the heart rate read outs match on the three items.They do for the most part, but sometimes there is a deviation with this item.I don???t recommend using it as a gold standard method for measuring your heart rate, however if you want to have a general idea, approximate ballpark measurement.
