It has a feature that tells you it is measuring your oxygen as you stick your finger in it. But you must have warm hands/fingers and it must be placed above your heart when using the oximeter; otherwise it is not working properly, per FDA guidelines. It is good value, under $20.00.

I, evidently, have only one finger I can use this device on since I tried, and tried several time to get a reading when it first arrived. I was almost ready to return it when I found the only finger that it will read and my hand has to be in a specific position and the finger has to be just so in the device. Had no problem unboxing, or first time used . Also great for even the elderly, and those having no true knowledge of electronic equipment: simply read to best understand what you are given as your reading.

It's so lightweight. I hope it holds up. But at first use was accurate, easy to use, everything as described. We are use to a much larger, heavier machine...an older machine...so just getting used to something so lightweight and easy to use.
